At The Arc Flagstaff, we help young people learn skills for life. These skills are for when they play basketball and for their lives outside of sports. We want to build strong people, not just good basketball players. We help them learn to be strong, follow rules, and work together. You can help us make a difference!
Community Readiness Assessment
-
A CRA helps us see what people in Flagstaff already know. We want to understand what is currently being done in our town for youth development, sports, and mentorship. Knowing this helps us build on existing strengths.
-
A CRA helps us discover what our community truly needs to help young people grow. We want to hear about any missing resources or challenges young people face in their growth and learning.
-
Through the CRA, we also look for what resources are already available. This includes existing programs, places (like sports fields or community centers), and any interested people who are already helping youth in Flagstaff.
-
This part of the CRA helps us understand how willing people are to lend a hand. We want to know how much interest there is in volunteering, supporting our cause, and being part of new efforts to help Flagstaff's youth.
A Community Readiness Assessment (CRA) is a way for organizations like The Arc Flagstaff to understand how prepared a community is to make changes or start new programs.
It’s a way of taking a snapshot of the community's thoughts and feelings about a certain topic.
We are currently raising money to support this assessment. These funds will help compensate those who share their valuable insights and the team carrying out this important work. You can learn more about how funds are used or make a contribution below.
